英语两分钟的演讲稿篇1

ladies and gentlemen, good morning! i’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech.

man’s life is a process of growing up, actually i’m standing here is a growth. if a person’s life must constituted by various choices, then i grow up along with these choices. once i hope i can study in a college in future, however that’s passed, as you know i come here, now i wonder what the future holds for me.

when i come to this school, i told to myself: this my near future, all starts here. following i will learn to become a man, a integrated man, who has a fine body, can take on important task, has independent thought, an open mind, intensive thought, has the ability to judge right and wrong, has a perfect job.

once my teacher said :” you are not sewing, you are stylist; never forget which you should lay out to people is your thought, not craft.” i will put my personality with my interest and ability into my study, during these process i will combine learning with doing. if i can achieve this “future”, i think that i really grow up. and i deeply believe kindred, good-fellowship and love will perfection and happy in the future.

how to say future? maybe it’s a nice wish. lets make up our minds, stick to it and surely well enjoy our life.

english is a useful language all over the world. why are we began to learn english when we were little children? beacause it is very important for us to learn it.in the world, if you cannot speak english you will lose half a chance to success.

i began to learn english when i was 8 years old.at that moment,i do not like english.i connot remember all the words which i have learnt.i think it is very difficult for me to learn it well.so i cannot read english loudly and i never answer the questions in the english classes.

even if my english is very bad, my teacher stll encourages me to learn english hard and he gives me some ways to learn english. he tells me to read passages loudly and listen to the english tapes everyday morning.in order to progress my writing he also asks me to write some articles at times. i like listen to the english songs,he suggests me to sing the english songs.as a result of his ways my english becomes well.

now, i like english very well and i still use the ways he tells me.i know i must learn english even hard.

i felt like a fool. he then went on to say, joe, it’s always appropriate to question another man’s judgment, but never appropriate to question his motives because you simply don't know his motives.

it happened early in my career fortunately. from that moment on, i tried to look past the caricatures of my colleagues and try to see the whole person. never once have i questioned another man’s or woman’s motive. and something started to change. if you notice, every time there’s a crisis in the congress the last eight years, i get sent to the hill to deal with it. it’s because every one of those men and women up there -- whether they like me or not -- know that i don't judge them for what i think they're thinking.

because when you question a man’s motive, when you say they're acting out of greed, they're in the pocket of an interest group, et cetera, it’s awful hard to reach consensus. it’s awful hard having to reach across the table and shake hands. no matter how bitterly you disagree, though, it is always possible if you question judgment and not motive.

senator helms and i continued to have profound political differences, but early on we both became the most powerful members of the senate running the foreign relations committee, as chairmen and ranking members. but something happened, the mutual defensiveness began to dissipate. and as a result, we began to be able to work together in the interests of the country. and as chairman and ranking member, we passed some of the most significant legislation passed in the last 40 years.

since the quality of honesty applies to all behaviors, one cannot refuse to consider factual information, for example, in an unbiased manner and still claim that one's knowledge, belief or position is an attempt to be truthful. such a belief is clearly a product of one's desires and simply has nothing to do with the human ability to know. basing one's positions on what one wants — rather than unbiased evidence gathering — is dishonest even when good intentions can be cited — after all even hitler could cite good intentions and intended glory for a select group of people. clearly then, an unbiased approach to the truth is a requirement of honesty.

because intentions are closely related to fairness and certainly affect the degree of honesty/dishonesty, there is a wide spread confusion about honesty--and a general belief that being dishonest means that one always correctly understands if their behavior is either honest or dishonest. self-perception of our morality is non-static and volatile. it's often at the moment we refuse to consider other perspectives that there is a clear indication we are not pursuing the truth, rather than simply and exclusively at the moment we can muster up evidence that we are right. socrates had much to say about truth, honesty and morality, and explained that if people really understood that their behavior was wrong — then they simply wouldn't do it — by definition. unfortunately, honesty in the western tradition has been marginalized to specific instances — perhaps because a thorough understanding of honesty collides with ideologies of all types. ideologies and idealism often exaggerate and suppress evidence in order to support their perspectives — at the expense of the truth. this process erodes the practice and understanding of honesty. to an ideologist the truth quite often becomes insignificant, what matters most are their ideals and what ever supports their desires to enjoy and spread those ideals.

good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen:

today i would like to begin with a story. there was once a physical therapist who traveled all the way from america to africa to do a census about mountain gorillas. these gorillas are a main attraction to tourists from all over the world; this put them severely under threat of poaching and being put into the zoo. she went there out of curiosity, but what she saw strengthened her determination to devote her whole life to fighting for those beautiful creatures. she witnessed a scene, a scene taking us to a place we never imaged we've ever been, where in the very depth of the african rainforest, surrounded by trees, flowers and butterflies, the mother gorillas cuddled their babies.

yes, that's a memorable scene in one of my favorite movies, called gorillas in the mist, based on a true story of mrs. diana fossey, who spent most of her lifetime in rwanda to protect the ecoenvironment there until the very end of her life.

to me, the movie not only presents an unforgettable scene but also acts as a timeless reminder that we should not develop the tourist industry at the cost of our eco-environment.

today, we live in a world of prosperity but still threatened by so many new problems. on the one hand, tourism, as one of the most promising industries in the 21st century, provides people with the great opportunity to see everything there is to see and to go any place there is to go. it has become a lifestyle for some people, and has turned out to be the driving force in gdp growth. it has the magic to turn a backward town into a wonderland of prosperity. but on the other hand, many problems can occur - natural scenes aren't natural anymore. deforestation to heat lodges are devastating nepal. oil spills from tourist boats are polluting antarctica. tribal people are forsaking their native music and dress to listen to u2 on walkman and wear nike and reeboks.

all these appalling facts have brought us to the realization that we can no longer stand by and do nothing, because the very thought of it has been eroding our resources. encouragingly, the explosive growth of global travel has put tourism again in the spotlight, which is why the united nations has made 2002 the year of ecotourism, for the first time to bring to the world's attention the benefits of tourism, but also its capacity to destroy our ecoenvironment.

now every year, many local ecoenvironmental protection organizations are receiving donations - big notes, small notes or even coins - from housewives, plumbers, ambulance drivers, salesmen, teachers, children and invalids. some of them cannot afford to send the money but they do. these are the ones who drive the cabs, who nurse in hospitals, who are suffering from ecological damage in their neighborhood. why? because they care. because they still want their mother nature back. because they know it still belongs to them.

this kind of feeling that i have, ladies and gentlemen, is when it feels like it, smells like it, and looks like it , it's all coming from a scene to be remembered, a scene to recall and to cherish.

the other night, as i saw the moon linger over the land and before it was sent into the invisible, my mind was filled with songs. i found myself humming softly, not to the music, but to something else, someplace else, a place remembered, a place untouched, a field of grass where no one seemed to have been except the deer.

and no matter who we are, what we do and where we go, in our minds, there's always a scene to remember, a scene worth our effort to protect it and fight for it.

thank you very much.

embracing the world, embracing sports

good afternoon honorable judges and beloved friends. my topic today is "embracing the world, embracing sports".

since malong and zhangjike’s breathtaking triumph over all the opponents in rio, no matter in competition or in real life, their loving little interactions, has already captured the heart of thousands of girls from home and abroad. are you still obsessed with a bunch of pop stars in entertainment industry ?sincefuyuanhui told cctv reporter. "i've been utilizing prehistorical powers." are you still believe in the traditional sports concept that "winner-takes-all" or "victory only belongs to the winners"? when sunyang didn’t won the champion of 1500-meter freestyle swimming match, but stick to the last minutes enduring the pain of physical sickness, are you still accusing him of not winning honor for our country? of course, no!

because of the nationwide sports system in our country, we always attach great importance to the glory of the most high-necked award platform, requiring athletes to win the game. i still remember that in 20xx, liu xiang dropped out because of the serious injury in his achilles's tendon, but he grit his teeth and stick to the end, bearing all the pain and pressure we may never know. however, someone mock him that he is no longer the asian flier anymore, some even said that his injury was just put on a show, suddenly he turned from a national hero into a loser, just because he upset the whole country of not winning one game.

from "medal only" to enjoy the charm and joy of the competitive sports, from requiring athletes to win the game to sincerely admire the noble-character and charming personality of them. this maybe one small step for 20xx rio olympic, but one giant leap for the chinese national sport spirit. who can say this is not the mistery of sport? who can say this is not the power of sport? and who can say this is not the charm of sport?

so, ladies and gentlemen, let's embrace the world with the charm of sports!

future is now

what is future?every time i look at the stars in the sky,i ask myself.it's realy a hard question to answer it.the universe is boundless,we don't know where are we from and where shall we go.i stand there,at sea.

last sunday, there was a rain of meteors.i went to the belcony towait for their coming.above my shoulder,it was the wind.above the wind,it was the sky, huge and blue, with sparkling stars.suddenly,a shooting star appeared.i hurried to pray for her happiness, staring at it.i wanted to pray for more, but it had already died out.i realised ,future is not carved on the meteors, but it's now, around us.

when a fortune-teller look at your palm, she'll tell you how your future will be like.that's a way you place your hope on.but it's not realistic.the future is the things and people around you.what you should do is to try to do everything well, don't care much about the results.be kind to all the people around you,and love them.although the world is not full of love, the life is not a bed of rose, you should sdick on your belief.when time passes, you'll find everything you do is worthwhile.

years is glorious.because no way you can stop time from elasping.how time flies!just like the flowers in spring, the sunshine in summer, the moon in mid-autumn and the snow in winter.maybe one morning you'll never wake up,you'll never see the sunrise or the sunset;you'll never see your sweatheart or talk to her, you'll never hear the sound of the nature or wander on the path among the trees, you'll never swim in the lake or climb the mountains.

time is gold.every minute is precious.we should make best use of it.don't waste even one minute.spend time in working,in laughing,in playing games and in loving.

each of us has a kite flying in the sky,and we also have a string each.

children's kite is childhood, the string is grown.

lovers' kite is love, the string is daily life.

i have a kite,it is called dream, the string in my hands is reality.

the wind which makes kites fly is future.kites are not free, but we still have power to control them and let them fly higher and higher.the string is in my hands, future is now in my hands.

future is now, forget the fortune-teller,clench your fists!

a young idler,an old beggar

almost everyone knows the famous chinese saying:a young idler,an old beggar. throughout history,we have seen many cases in which this saying has again and again proved to be true.

it goes without saying that the youth is the best time of life, during which one's mental and physical states are at their peaks. it takes relatively less time and pains to learn or accept new things in a world full of

changes and rapid developments. in addition, one is less likely to be under great pressure from career, family and health problems when young. therefore,a fresh mind plus enormous energy will ensure success in different aspects of life.

of course,we all know:no pains,no gains. if we don't make every effort to make good use of the

advantages youth brings us,it is impossible to achieve any goals. as students,we should now try our best to learn all the subjects well so that we can be well prepared for the challenges that we will face in the future.
